HEIGHT; 5'9" VOICE; light, smooth, hint of amusement FACE CLAIM; megurine luka; vocaloid DESCRIPTION; Surprisingly, Valerie never wears any tight fitting clothing to show off her body or anything like that. For her, loose fitting clothing, a pair of denim shorts, and an unnecessary lot of accessories is the way to go. Sunglasses are also usually seen perched on her nose, dark and over sized. She claims that it 'keeps the public away' from noticing her, but it's not very effective considering her strange hair color. Zippers are a true love of hers, and it shows in her clothes. Pocket zippers, shirt zippers, zipper accessories... why the hell not? Valerie tries not to get too carried away, but sometimes, she just needs to bust out those silver things. In any case, her casual wear is never too expensive. Her long hair can sometimes be a pain to work with, so she often ties it up in a high ponytail so it can't distract her in her duties. Valerie has a very curvy body shape, but not overweight in the least. She's noticed some people tend to stray their eyes... 'lower' when she's speaking, so she pays close attention to how much skin exposure she's revealing. PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION LIKES; clothes, photography, music, piano, zippers, frills, lace, glass, buttons, reading, nature, sightseeing, traveling, teaching, learning, running, different cultures, history, art, painting, parties, mystery DISLIKES; fish, long car rides, paparazzi, frosting, violence, mushrooms, competition, rumors, confined spaces, toddlers, elevators, escalators, brussel sprouts, rules, crowds, judges, scientists, gangs, accidents, mistakes, oil, fast food, bright lights, mud, slush STRENGTHS; photogenic, bluffing, convincing, organized, perfectionist WEAKNESSES; dirty environments, animals, honesty, scary managers QUIRKS; escalators and elevators scare her. height is not the problem - in fact, she doesn't know exactly what the problem is. in any case, she always takes the stairs instead. it may be tiring, but she's gotten used to it. valerie always eats ice cream and yogurts with a fork. its simply another one of her strange habits. if the ice cream isn't frozen enough to be eaten with a fork, she'll throw it away. although she is only a quarter italian, she likes to be considered that instead of american. perhaps her liking of italian foods contribute to this. she hyperventilates very easily. though it's never too long to cause her to pass out, it does like to appear in succession. it's especially prevalent when she cries, causing her stomach to lurch forward and back repeatedly and dramatically until she manages to calm down a bit. paper bags do actually help. there will always be a handy dandy snack or candy bar snuck conveniently in a pocket or wherever possible. for some reason, she enjoys secretly collecting little trinkets from her travels, while claiming that she wouldn't do such a thing as buy silly souvenirs. FEARS; being trapped in a confined area, breaking a bone from the crowd, having paparazzi spread a completely inappropriate and false rumor, losing her job GOALS; become better in music, own enough money to create her own charity program, learn how to dance, travel the entire world, learn to speak at least three different languages PERSONALITY; quiet; Valerie won't lunge at nearby people in hopes of starting a conversation. She isn't an introvert, but she prefers keeping to herself for the most part. Although, she was quite the friendly girl when she was younger, that attribute faded away as she grew older. However, if she is approached and spoken to, she always tries to make a nice impression. Making relationships isn't her top priority at the moment, but it wouldn't hurt. Thus, most of her friends are from her childhood. perfectionist; She goes OCD over the smallest of errors or misfits. Every book must be lined up neatly, every shirt and coat must be colored coded, lightest to darkest. Every 'e' she writes must be looped, and every piece of paper must be aligned right on top of the previous when in a stack. When someone is erasing writing/drawings and they forget a small mark, Valerie will pull strands of hair out until she has the chance to scold him/her. Lazy days are generally a no-no, but they do - somehow - sneak into her life a couple times within a month. picky; If something is not the way she wants it, then it will not be looked at twice. Valerie does love gifts, but also hates them. She finds it lovely that someone would go out of their way to make or buy her a little something special, but she can't love it sincerely if its not the way she'd like it to be. She makes sure her friends and family understand that buying clothes for her is a waste of money. She feels terrible about it, and has recently been working on being a bit more lenient. It may take a while, but she hopes it'll be worth the effort in the end. curious; Many things prick her interest. If the topic is sketchy, she tries to forget about it. Though this may save her from serious trouble, it doesn't save her energy when she stays awake late at night thinking about it. hard working; Valerie will always persevere to achieve her goals. It may be easier to sit back and sit on her hands, but it'll just be a waste of time in the long run. She doesn't believe in "natural born talent" or "natural gifts". "Even five minutes of everyday will make a difference," she likes to say. thoughtful; Though she might sometimes appear as a soulless body wandering about blindly, there is actually something swirling about in that head of hers. She is always considering other people's feelings, whether they be the man in front of her or the starving child on the other side of the globe. Valerie also enjoys her 'me time', which is very prevalent in her life. She likes to sit out at nighttime to look at the sky - starless or not - and listen to the crickets chirp, and feel the warm breeze brush her skin. Other 'strange' activities make up her 'me time', such as standing under the rain while being drenched silly. CHRONOLOGICAL TIMELINE CURRENT RESIDENCE; large apartment CURRENT OCCUPATION; model HISTORY; There was nothing too special about Valerie's life. She was just an average girl born in an average household in the capitol of Washington. Her mother was kind mother but had high expectations, working part time as a substitute teacher. She was very much in love with her husband, Valerie's father. He was a tall man with handsome features and strong hands, but loved medicine and became an anesthesiologist after long years of studying. Being an only child, Valerie never made too much noise and seemed to quietly sit in her room all day or go outside to play. Living in a big city, she often explored and met new people. Most of them were forgotten over the years, if not mere weeks. Though others may view it as simple, Valerie saw life as a spectacular adventure. She only started to try out modeling when she was around seventeen years old, after a friend finally convinced her to do so. She didn't fall in love with it the first time, neither did she actually continue doing it until a couple years later. But somehow, she thought of it more and more until it became her permanent career. Another one of life's surprises. She was always a curious kind of person, and she didn't hesitate to move to this strange new city. News of the SHIFT corporation had always been a faint ringing in her mind, but it boomed when they had trouble with the government and were sued. Her neighbors always made a fuss about it, only to continue their daily lives after a few years. Valerie knew something was wrong, and that SHIFT was hiding something. By the time she moved to the city, these "experiments" were released to the public. Her initial reaction was... well, hard to remember, but it was along the lines of shock and awe. They were strange but beautiful in a way she knew she could never be, and they fascinated her. There were times were the people's hatred almost convinced her, but managed to resist it after a while. Valerie now sees them everyday, but they still don't cease to tickle at her questions. Valerie was offered to have a little speech about her career at the Stockton's School of Arts a few times, which was a wonderful experience as she does enjoy teaching. Though at first it was strange, as many of them were only but a few years younger than her, but seeing so many shifters blending in with the humans pleased her. For now, she decides not to get too carried away and become to involved with SHIFT's little secrets, but she knows someday that will change. It may be dangerous, but it's one thing she's determined to do before she dies. |
