 At the end of the cold war in 1961, the people of Washington D.C. expanded their fair city, claiming an increase of population deserved it – but there was another reason. A secret reason, hidden within the walls of a small town which stood alone within the city, empty and cold for fifty years. In March of 2010, this secret expansion opened its doors to the world.
Along with the expansion was built a new boarding school, known as the Academy of Lore. Life was normal – seemingly boring – for almost a year, with only minimal feelings of suspicion towards strange students whom, along with their families, flocked to the academy, along with regular students from all over the world. When, after that year was up, a student of Lore was found brutally murdered on the grounds and the evidence was cleared without investigation, the suspicion rose to new heights.
What's going on in the Academy of Lore? Why are beasts that are supposed to be mythological suddenly appearing in the sky, and being captured in photos on the front page of the Daily News?
