Banner would prefer to be addressed as Oliver, but he seems pretty lax about it. AGE; Twenty-Seven GENDER; Male ORIENTATION; Homosexual HOMETOWN; Brooklyn, NY BIRTH DATE; June 22, 20** GENETICS EYES; gray HAIR; black, short and usually unkempt WEIGHT; 140 lbs HEIGHT; 5 ft 10 in VOICE; Andrew Scott (Moriarty, BBC Sherlock) FACE CLAIM; Tohru Adachi, persona 4 DESCRIPTION; Banner is scrawny, with little muscle to go towards his arsenal of clumsy failures. He hasn't exactly changed much in that respect, and can be counted on to remain the same if his lazy bouts continue. Relying too much on the defense of others and carrying nothing but a pistol of his own has left him with nothing to say for not being helpless, preferring to rely 'solely on his charms'. It may not be very effective, but it's been working for him so far, so he must have a decent face at least considering. Banner can often be seen wearing a sports jacket or expensive suit, undone and mussed with carelessness, tie optional and jacket sometimes missing depending on how scattered he is that day. When he isn't goofing around and shit gets real, usually he'll straighten himself out or put some effort to becoming easily presentable. He smells of only the finest off-brand cigarettes, overpriced chateau, and leisure. PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION LIKES; animals, paperwork, SHIFT, his company, games DISLIKES; humans, long speeches, whiny coworkers, 'advice', rules STRENGTHS; wealthy, energetic, witty, clever, adaptable, affectionate, charismatic WEAKNESSES; capricious, cowardly, wimpy, restless, devious, selfish, clumsy, wasteful, chatty/gossips QUIRKS; He has a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde personality. One side of the coin he loves animals, is playful, and seems to be only capable of a long line of screw ups, but when in the right setting he'll become the shrewd and feared businessman his family is known for. FEARS; Losing his company, and the vast wealth that comes along with it. Despite all his spending, should his company ever go bankrupt, despite their seemingly bottomless accounts, he'll probably go mad, let alone if the accounts are frozen. He also is afraid of losing his independence, and will go out of his way to do the exact opposite of what people tell him just to prove that he's Banner O.M-K. Maddock, and he can do whatever the hell he likes. GOALS; To live life easily, adventurously, and without limitations. And to, uh, you know. Not die. That'd be cool. Though he really doesn't want to be an old man, either. PERSONALITY; Banner manipulates people. It's who he is, it's what he does. He dislikes getting his own hands dirty, and will do what he has to in order to achieve his ends. He may seem like a trivial guy, with his inattentive appearance and ditzy actions outside of the office. Inside, however, he's a cruel and shrewd businessman whose only obligations are to his company. He has a strong dislike for human beings, preferring the company of animals, and more recently, shifters. It's due to this that he puts a large sum of resources towards the SHIFT organization, and believes that this has given him the obligation to be able to do as he like around the facilities. He's often nosy, meddling or getting into research purely out of interest, and making 'friends' with experiments. He refuses to be tied to or pinned down by any rules or people, so he often ignores the advice or chastise of actual SHIFT employees, which can lead to troublesome situations with experiments. He's constantly one-upping people, showing off and taking on almost impossible responsibilities and paying people to fill them, as he's always had a problem with finishing things that he's started. He donates to charities to improve his company's image. To the public he seems kind, and, as mentioned before, forgetful, fooling the public to think he's practically harmless. Unless you're involved with his company in some way, you're unlikely to meet the frantic and callous man behind the desk. Banner also has a habit of flirting with the people he does business with-- unfortunately, he doesn't take rejection well. He takes up borderline stalker habits just to figure out how he can manipulate them into whatever he was denied of. CHRONOLOGICAL TIMELINE CURRENT RESIDENCE; 2764 West Hanover Drive SHIFT CORPS OCCUPATION; SHIFT Funder/Business Partner, and self-titled intern. He also owns one of the largest known companies of the time (Maddock and Wager). HISTORY; Banner grew up with a fairly sheltered life, on top of being insanely spoiled. Private schools, eccentric aunties, a huge purebred dog he could ride on since he was 4. It was all typical rich-kid things, which he constantly took advantage of. School had never been his strong suit, and he hadn't really gotten along with any of the other children. He got high grades and was able to skip a level due to this, far ahead of the rest of the class and growing increasingly bored with it. He couldn't take how it was the same practically every day, even the daily bullying and beatings seemed routine. Up until his teen years, Banner never really showed any interest in the family business until his father brought a bit of work home. Nosy as usual, he began to show a natural affliction for what little he learned from getting into his father's records. It was about this time that Banner had begun to have a steady truancy problem, only showing up when it was necessary. He had already surpassed the required amount of credits and required classes in his high school years, with an early graduation to look forward to at only sixteen. When he was finally freed from the chains of the school system, he took to going to work alongside his father to learn of the company's doings. Banner worked as an intern for the company until he was twenty, and finished college two years after with a major in business and minor in creative writing. His career flirted a bit with journalism, which filled his needs for constant change and stimulation until his father passed away when he was twenty-five. He inherited the business thereafter, only to realize that complete other side of him through working. He brought the business to it's peak, where it currently stands at the fullest potential that it's been known to be capable of so far. As to what Maddock's business actually does, it's like the equivalent of today's Pr*ct*r and G*mbl*, only with sub corporations that deal in shadier things as well. |
